Meghan Markle, Prince Harry receive disappointing news as King Charles set to visit US
Obviously Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not working royals
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have received a disappointing update as King Charles is set to travel to US next year.
According to a report by The Sun, the monarch will visit the United States next April in a historic trip to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday.
The outlet further said US President Donald Trump plans to host King Charles in a lavish State visit planned for the spring — if the monarch’s health allows him to travel.
The insiders in both Washington DC and London have claimed that the plans being negotiated include a visit to the White House in late April.
It is expected that Queen Camilla will accompany King Charles on the trip.
The US officials are planning a string of events to mark the 250-year anniversary of the founding of the United States.
The royal visit will be a “major moment” in the run-up to the July 4 Independence Day celebrations.
Amid these reports, the Page Six claims however, Montecito-based Prince Harry and Meghan won’t be on the guest list.
The insiders tell the publication, “Obviously the Duke and Duchess of Sussex aren’t working royals, so they will not be invited to any celebrations.
“Any invitation would have to come at the behest of the royal family themselves.”
The sources say, “We’re hoping all the senior royals will come over.
“This is going to be a huge year for both the US and the UK.”
It will mark King Charles first visit since 2018, when the then Prince of Wales represented Queen Elizabeth II at George H. W. Bush's funeral.
