Princess Kate and William don’t mind Andrew enjoying Windsor ride
King Charles fumes as Andrew’s Windsor walk steals the spotlight
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was spotted riding horses on the Windsor estate for the first time in seven weeks and while it may look idyllic, the royal household isn’t exactly cheering.
Royal expert Jennie Bond says the Prince and Princess of Wales aren’t begrudging Andrew a bit of fresh air, noting he has become isolated, depressed, and solitary.
“It’s not his fault if photographers pounce when he ventures out,” Bond explains.
However, King Charles is far from impressed. A palace insider told reporters, “It’s really not a good look. Pictures of Andrew riding around Windsor draw attention away from the work the rest of the family are doing, and taxpayers fund these grounds.”
Bond adds, “It would be much better if he were seen doing charity work rather than idly amusing himself. He’s so toxic that no one wants him near their organisation.”
Meanwhile, US lawmakers are ramping up pressure. After Andrew refused a transcribed interview regarding his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, legislators have called on him to finally reveal what he knows.
As the former Duke prepares to leave his Royal Lodge home for Sandringham, it seems there’s no keeping Andrew out of the public eye.
