Selena Gomez reveals how music therapy can help deal with mental health

Selena Gomez has recently reflected on power of music that help you to calm down nerves.
The Love On crooner appeared on The Zane Lowe show to promote her new Apple Music Sound Therapy series which features songs blended with sound waves designed in a way to soothe one’s mind.
Selena noted that everyone had different taste in music. She called herself “a lyrics girl” which is why she’s enticed by “cleverness, sadness and hidden meaning” behind the song.
“That’s thrilling because then I take it in as my version and those are the songs I remember the most,” continued the Only Murders in the Building actress.
Selena told the host, “These songs are usually associated with painful times but those are the best moments.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the Emilia Perez star pointed out what she missed about live performances.
“I think the only thing I genuinely miss is probably the interaction with fans,” replied the 33-year-old.
Ice Cream singer also shared that she dislikes the “performative” aspect of singing on award shows.
“I’m not sure that’s something I’m willing to entertain again. However, the idea of doing, I don’t know, an acoustic set or some sort of soft version, I would love to do that,” explained the songstress.
Selena added, “I miss being with fans for sure.”
