King Charles appeared visibly emotional and hurt on a sombre occasion, but there was also another reason behind his tear-filled eyes.

On November 9, the monarch led the royal family in a sorrowful event of Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph in London.

The King, alongside Prince William and Prince Edward, laid wreaths and maintained a two-minute silence to honour the war heroes at the memorial.

During the event, King Charles looked sad, as per a body language expert, Judi James.

In conversation with Express.co.uk, she said that William and Harry's father was "reflective" throughout the meaningful service. However, the other reason behind his depressed look was the missing royal members.

Judi said, "King Charles, standing looking more solitary than usual, was conspicuously backed up by a severely diminished Royal Family line-up, with Princess Anne missing and of course Andrew absent."

“His expression appeared reflective, but his features moved about to suggest suppressed emotions. He seemed to be swallowing heavily and his mouth moved a lot as he looked up at the Cenotaph," the expert shared.

For the unversed, Princess Anne is in Australia to take part in various engagements related to Remembrance Week.

On the other hand, Andrew has recently been stripped of his titles by the monarch as the Jeffrey Epstein scandal crossed all limits.
