Prince Andrew 'agrees to vacate royal lodge' on one condition
King Charles promises Andrew to protect Beatrice, Eugenie's future
Royal Family has issued urgent assurances to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie as their parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson prepare to leave the royal lodge, according to a new report.
The Princesses of York have been assured that they will not be forced to leave their royal residences amid ongoing negotiations between Andrew and the Palace officials over the lavish 30-room Windsor property.
A royal insider claimed, "Andrew has agreed to vacate royal lodge after assurance on his daughter's royal future from King Charles."
A royal insider revealed, "Prince Andrew has agreed to vacate the royal lodge after receiving assurances from King Charles regarding the future of his daughters."
Andrew won't defy the King's order as he understands that agitation could worse the situation amid ongoing crisis. The royal has allegedly lived rent-free in the property since 2003, amid repeated calls for him to downsize.
Royal aides are emphasising that Andrew’s daughters must be “looked after” regardless of the outcome.
These assurances have also covered the royal sisters' homes in St James’s Palace and Kensington Palace respectively.
The pair are understood to have been told that their tenancy status in the properties will not be affected by any decision made regarding Andrew’s future at Royal Lodge, according to The Telegraph.
It follows an announcement from Buckingham Palace, after Andrew decides to relinquish the use of his titles, that Beatrice and Eugenie would remain princesses as they remained the granddaughters of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
On Friday, it emerged that King Charles and his younger brother Andrew held a key meeting to discuss the Grade-II listed palatial residence.
Palace insiders have claimed that Andrew and Ferguson's relocation is unavoidable.
