Prince William shares emotional message on Princess Kate progress post cancer
Future King William opens up about 'protecting' his family during challenging times
Prince William made an emotional statement about his beloved wife Princess Kate's health 'progress' in a new television appearance.
The Prince of Wales opened up about several things, including the hardest year of his life, in which Catherine and King Charles were diagnosed with cancer, its impact on their children, losing his grandparents and shifting from traditional royal life to modern in conversation with Eugene Levy.
The future King delighted fans by revealing that "Everything is progressing in the right way," at the Apple TV+ series, The Reluctant Traveller.
He added, "I'd say 2024 was the hardest year that I've ever had. Trying to sort of balance protecting the children, Catherine, my father needs a bit of protection, but he's, you know, he's old enough to do that himself as well."
William emphasised that he ensured his family felt protected and had a space away from the media and limelight to process the health challenges last year.
He shared that it was quite tricky to maintain privacy while also doing his royal engagements.
For the unversed, the Prince of Wales spent his 2024 taking care of Princess Catherine alongside giving attention to George, Charlotte and Louis. He performed a number of royal duties side by side in order to support his father.
William stated that "We all have challenges that come our way, and it's important to keep going."
He also addressed the growing speculations back then when Princess Kate stepped back from the spotlight due to her preventative chemotherapy.
The next in line to the throne confessed that it is "a little bit harder" to perform his job due to the media, the speculation and the scrutiny that comes with it.
Prince William firmly believes that there should not be any type of "overtake and intrusion" when you just want a bit of "space, and a bit of peace and quiet."
