King Charles was highly impressed by Meghan Markle ‘toughness’
King Charles and Meghan Markle shared a loved up bond during the start of their relationship
King Charles seemingly really liked Meghan Markle at the start of their relationship.
His Majesty, who walked Meghan down the aisle on wedding day with Prince Harry, appreciated his daughter-in-law for her resilience.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl said: "Charles reportedly nicknamed his future daughter-in-law 'Tungsten' because of her toughness and resilience."
A source told the Mail on Sunday at the time: "Prince Charles admires Meghan for her strength and the backbone she gives Harry, who needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy. It's become a term of endearment."
Prince Harry left the Royal Family back in 2020 alongside wife Meghan Markle and son, Prince Archie. The couple later accused the Royal Family of showcasing racism towards their son and publicly shared their grievances on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
