Gigi Hadid reveals if Zayn Malik attended daughter Khai’s birthday

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik may no longer be together, but when it comes to their daughter Khai, the two remain united. 

The supermodel recently shut down speculation about Zayn’s presence at Khai’s 5th birthday celebration after a fan suggested he wasn’t there. 

Responding directly in the comments of her September 22 Instagram post, Gigi clarified, “She was with us both on her birthday.”

The milestone celebration was lovingly documented by Gigi, who shared a glimpse into the colourful party without revealing Khai’s face, in keeping with her choice to keep her daughter’s privacy intact. 

One of the opening photos showed Gigi hugging Khai, her own long brown hair tied up with bright flowers while Khai leaned into her embrace. 

In her heartfelt caption, the 30-year-old wrote, “Celebrating you is the Best Day Ever, every year. Happy 5th Birthday to the light of my life! You are truly everything so lucky & proud to be your mama!!!!!!! (p.s. 5 HOW ?!?).”

The birthday setup was equally full of charm. 

Decorations included pink and purple balloons, banners, a rainbow heart-shaped cake, and a themed colouring station featuring Angel from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch.

Khai could also be seen enjoying the day alongside her mother as the party unfolded, a celebration that was filled with personal touches and plenty of love.

Meanwhile, Malik is marking a different milestone of his own. On the very same day as his daughter’s birthday, the former One Direction star announced his first Las Vegas residency. 

Scheduled for January 20 through 31, 2026, at Dolby Live at Park MGM, the seven-show series will spotlight music from across his four albums. Mind of Mine (2016), Icarus Falls (2018), Nobody Is Listening (2021), and his latest, Room Under the Stairs (2024). 

Sharing the announcement on Instagram, Zayn wrote simply, “VEGAS!! JAN 2026!!”

According to a press release, the residency is just the start of a big year for Malik, who is preparing for what has been described as “his next chapter.” 

With Gigi celebrating motherhood and Zayn stepping into a new phase of his career, both are finding ways to move forward while staying present for their daughter’s important moments.
