Sanjay Leela Bhansali flies to Italy for Love & War's grand climax

Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the Love & War trio are reportedly set to fly off to Italy after the director faced a major setback.

The 62-year-old filmmaker, known for his visually stunning films and romantic dramas, is expected to shoot the climax of the much-anticipated project in Sicily during the second half of October.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali is going international with Love & War. The director is going to shoot the climax scene of the film in Italy, Sicily. It’s planned as a massive schedule across the city, making this one of the grandest shoots of the film.”

The insider further revealed that the Gangubai Kathiawadi director aims to deliver a dramatic high in the climax.

“SLB loves to shoot larger-than-life dramatic moments, and the climax of Love & War will be drama at its peak with romance in the backdrop,” the source added. “He plans to shoot a prolonged climax sequence across Sicily, exploring THE diverse landscape of the city. Through the schedule, he will also shoot for a song with the three characters. He will be stationed abroad for almost a month.”

This update comes on the heels of Prateek Taj Mathur lodging an FIR against Bhansali.

Mathur accused him, along with two producers, Arvind Gill and Utkarsh Bali, of fraud, misbehavior, and breach of trust.

Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt, is slated for release on March 20, 2026.
