Manoj Bajpayee, Jim Sarbh's cop comedy gets Netflix release date

Manoj Bajpayee recently thrilled fans as Netflix announced the release date of his upcoming film Inspector Zende.

The 56-year-old actor, who was last seen in 2024’s Despatch, is set to take on the role of Inspector Madhukar Zende.

On Thursday, August 7, Netflix India revealed the release date on Instagram.

The post features a newspaper image with a bold headline that reads, “Zendabad, will the inspector be able to catch the swimsuit killer?”

In the photograph, the Gangs of Wasseypur star is seen wearing a police uniform, while Jim Sarbh is dressed in a prisoner's outfit.

The caption of the post reads, “Thief-and-police game is about to begin. Inspector Zende is now reporting for duty. Watch Inspector Zende, starring Manoj Bajpayee and Jim Sarbh, out 5 September, only on Netflix.”

The upcoming film follows Inspector Madhukar Zende as he hunts down serial killer Carl Bhojraj, who escapes from Tihar Jail.

Chinmay Mandlekar’s directorial, also features Bhalchandra Kadam, Sachin Khedekar, Girjia Oak, and Harish Dudhade in key roles.

Meanwhile, Bajpayee has also appeared in popular web series such as The Family Man and Killer Soup.

For the unversed, Inspector Zende is slated for release on Friday, September 5.
