Paresh Rawal recently sparked excitement among Hera Pheri fans by confirming his return in the upcoming sequel to the franchise following a feud with co-star Akshay Kumar.
The 70-year-old actor, known for his iconic portrayal of Babu Rao in the comedy franchise, revealed that the issues with the team have now been resolved.
During his appearance at The Himansha Mehta Show, Rawal stated that everything had “settled down”.
Speaking to the outlet, he explained, “My point is that when something reaches so many people, you need to be extra careful. It is our responsibility towards the audience because the audience is sitting here and loves it so much. You can't take things lightly. Do hard work and deliver.
“So my point is that Bhaiya, everyone should come together and work hard, nothing else. It is resolved. Nothing has happened! It is all resolved.”
Later in the interview, the Welcome actor reflected on the development of Hera Pheri 3, the sequel to the 2000 film.
“It was happening earlier also, but the thing is that one has to fine-tune the other a little. (laughs),” Rawal added. “First of all, all of them are creative people... Like Priyadarshan, Akshay, or Sunil, they have all been friends for many, many years.”
This major announcement comes after the Bhagam Bhag star previously withdrew from the franchise and took the matter to the court.
With this confirmation, fans are excited to welcome the OG trio in the forthcoming installment.
For the unversed, Priyadarshan’s directorial is expected to release in 2027.
