Prince Harry's reunion efforts with royals at risk after Meghan Markle 'bitter' side exposed
Meghan Markle gave new tension to Prince Harry amid his efforts to reconcile with the royal family.
For the unversed, the Duchess of Sussex recently appeared on the podcast Aspire with Emma Grede, where she discussed various topics, including her lifestyle brand As Ever, social media comeback, and public narrative about her.
The host of the show asked the mother-of-two if she "rewrote" differently the public narrative about herself. In response, she said, "Yes, I'll ask people to tell the truth."
Meghan added that a "lie can't live forever. Eight years is a long time, but not forever," which has been said as a subtle swipe at the royal family.
In conversation with Express, royal commentator Lee Cohen claimed that the Duchess of Sussex fueled the rift with the royals once again by revealing her "bitter" feelings.
He said, "Some have suggested Markle saying in the podcast, 'a lie can’t last forever' was a swipe at the Royal Family."
The royal expert added, "If so, it means that despite claiming to have moved on, her bitterness is still present. But she has nothing to be bitter against but her own disgraceful behaviour."
Lee believes that Meghan's new remark is "continuing to fuel this feud years later," as she knew it is "the only narrative she has that is interesting to the public."
Calling the Duchess of Sussex, a "sad tale of desperation and tireless rebranding," the journalist said that her association with royals "keeps her in the headlines."
It is important to note that Meghan's dig at the firm came after her husband publicly expressed his desire to make amends with his father King Charles.
Most recently, The Mail reported that the Duke of Sussex plans to extend the Invictus Games invitation to the royal family.
