Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' shines brighter on Day 2
Aamir Khan's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' surprises fans with spectacular performance at Box Office
Aamir Khan’s newly released film Sitaare Zameen Par continues its steady run at the box office on its second day, witnessing a significant surge in collections.
The Taare Zameen Par actor, who garnered recognition for his role as Ram Shankar Nikumbh in the 2007 original, has returned with the much-awaited sequel 18 years later.
Sitaare Zameen Par, produced by Aamir, Kiran Rao, Aparna Purohit, and Ravi Bhagchandka, had a terrific start at the theatres, collecting ₹10.50 crore on its opening day.
The sports-drama is expected to witness an 80 percent jump, with Saturday’s collections projected to reach ₹19.50 crore.
It is pertinent to mention that these are early estimates, and the final figures may vary depending on the film’s performance during evening and night shows.
This comes shortly after Aamir and his team considered Saturday as the most “crucial” day for the film’s box office success.
Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Genelia Deshmukh, Aparna Purohit, Ravi Bhagchanka, and Aamir, explores intellectual disabilities such as autism and Down syndrome in children.
Aamir, 60, was last seen in Advait Chandan’s Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan in 2022.
For the unversed, the film was released on Friday, June 20.
