Vicky Kaushal has taken the internet by storm amid rumours of him joining Yash Raj Films’ spy universe following his performance in the blockbuster Chaavaa.
The Indian actor, who garnered widespread recognition for the portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the adventure-drama, is reportedly eager to be part of the franchise.
However, a source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Vicky Kaushal is not joining the spy universe. The production banner definitely has a plan to expand the spyverse with the inclusion of new actors playing different characters, but nothing is concrete with Vicky Kaushal as of now”.
This report debunks the rumours and emphasises that YRF is currently focusing on War 2 and Alpha.
Ayan Mukerji’s directorial, War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR, is expected to hit theatres on August 14.
Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawaii and featuring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol, is slated for release on Christmas 2025.
Meanwhile, the Raazi actor was last seen alongside Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna in Chaava, which was released on February 14.
For the unversed, Kaushal, 37, is gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War and Amar Kaushik's Mahavatar.
