Moonbin sister Moon Sua pens emotional tribute on brother's death anniversary
Astro star Moonbin remembered through tears and an honourary song by sister and other K-Pop artists
Astro star Moon Bin’s sister, Moon Sua, paid a heartfelt tribute to her late brother on his second death anniversary.
On Saturday, April 19, hours before Astro and other K-pop stars release tribute song 'Moon' for Moonbin, his sister penned an emoiotnal letter for her brother.
“Brother, are you doing well? I sang for the first time while thinking of you this time. How about it? Is it a bit touching? The song may not be perfect, but I hope you understand my sincerity,” she wrote in her social media post, according to South Korean news outlet Chosun Biz, which did not specify the platform.
The younger sibling expressed that living with the loss of her brother has been incredibly difficult, but she remains steadfast, working hard every day to make him proud.
She revealed that she recently saw her brother, who was found dead at his home in Gangnam, Seoul, on April 19, 2023, in her dream which brought her comfort to see his face again.
“When we meet again, please hug me tightly. You don’t need to say much—just one thing: ‘Sua, you’ve worked hard.’ Let’s be together forever, Moon siblings,” the girl group Billy member continued. “Even if I’m reborn, I want to be your younger sibling again.”
Shortly after the sister poured her heart out on social media, Astro released tribute single Moon featuring 22 artists to honour Moonbin's memory.
The new song features MJ, JinJin, Cha Eun-woo, and Yoon San-ha from ASTK, Billy’s Moon Sua, MONSTA X's Minhyuk, Kihyun, and I.M.
Hoshi, Wonwoo, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan from SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids' Bang Chan and many more artist also contributed.
