Lana Del Rey reveals real life inspiration for new song ‘Bluebird’
Lana Del Rey dropped second single of her unknown album on April 18
Lana Del Rey released her second single, Bluebird, from her upcoming untitled album on April 18.
The new song came a week after the first single Henry, Come on with an announcement that her forthcoming album would not be arriving on May 21 and its name had changed, in now deleted post.
In a newly uploaded Instagram video, the Cinnamon Girl hitmaker shared an exciting story behind the song Bluebird.
The reel began with her explaining that one day she was going out on a walk with someone she was seeing and hadn’t met them in a long time.
Del Rey recalled that as she was dressing up for hangout "all of a sudden a blue bird smacked into the double pane window doors of my bedroom, and I was shocked."
The Young and Beautiful songstress continued, "I opened the little door and I saw this little, I think it was like a little sparrow, right there. And I just was so emotional."
Sharing the reason of why the encounter was so emotional, the Grammy nominee seemingly referring to the state of her relationship at that time added, "Because, when you just know that something is meant for you, sometimes I feel like nature has its own way of communicating with you."
"Especially in extremely severe situations, not in a sacrificial way, just in a way for you to know," she continued.
The Summertime Sadness crooner revealed that the bird did survived the hit and eventually fly away.
While it is uncertain when her new record will release and the new tittle announcement, Del Rey will soon perform at Stagecoach next Friday.
