Brooke Shields shares ‘baby’ photos on daughter Grier’s 19th birthday
Brooke Shields posts childhood throwback pictures celebrating daughter Grier’s 19th birthday
Brooke Shields is feeling all the emotions as she celebrates a major milestone for her daughter. The proud mom took to Instagram on Friday to wish Grier Henchy, her youngest daughter with husband Chris Henchy, a happy 19th birthday — and she didn’t hold back the love.
“My baby isn’t a baby anymore, Happy 19th birthday, Grier! I love you, and I’m so proud to be your mom. Xx,” Shields gushed in her heartfelt caption.
Alongside her sweet words, she shared a carousel of photos that beautifully captured Grier’s journey from adorable childhood moments to her blossoming adulthood.
Over the years, Brooke and Grier’s close bond has been on full display, with the Mother of the Bride star never missing a chance to celebrate her daughter’s big moments.
Last September, Shields proudly cheered on Grier as she made her runway debut for Tommy Hilfiger at New York Fashion Week. The following day, she posted a video of Grier’s catwalk, writing, “So proud of you,” and tagging both her daughter and the iconic brand.
It’s clear that Grier’s achievements pull at Brooke’s heartstrings — especially now that she’s adjusting to life as an "empty nester".
Just a month before Grier’s modeling milestone, Shields got candid in a tearful video about how it felt watching both her daughters head off to college.
“OK, so, I sat here a year ago, and I watched my big girl leave, and I’m back on this porch, and I am now officially an empty nester?” Shields shared, her emotions shining through.
Brooke, who is also mom to 21-year-old Rowan Henchy, continues to show that no matter how grown-up her girls get, a mother’s love (and a few happy tears) never really changes.
