Prince William had 'no role' in Rashford's Villa move
Prince William stayed silent as Rashford joined his Aston Villa
Despite a long standing connection between Prince William and Marcus Rashford, the royal reportedly had no involvement in the forward's recent move to Aston Villa, according to a source, reported GB News.
Known for his unwavering support of the Birmingham-based club, the Prince of Wales has often been seen attending matches at Villa Park.
While he and Rashford were already acquainted-having met during the 2021 MBE ceremony at Windsor Castle where William honoured Rashford for his advocacy on child food poverty-the Prince did not play a role in the transfer talks.
Rashford opted to join Aston Villa over multiple suitors, citing the club's playing style and manager Unai Emery's vision as the main draws behind his decision.
Though a source told the Mail it seemed unlikely that William would resist the opportunity to influence such a high-profile move for his team, insiders maintain the royal stayed out of the transfer negotiations entirely.
