Marieangela King talks relationship with estranged husband Elijah Blue Allman aftr divorce filing
Elijah Blue Allman’s wife Marieangela King broke silence after filing for divorce from Cher’s only child together with Gregg Allman of The Allman Brothers Band.
In a statement to People, the 37-year-old singer laid bare her plans to remain on friendly terms with her estranged husband.
"We had a beautiful 13-year journey, filled with memories I’ll always cherish. I know we’ll remain friends, and Elijah will always hold a special place in my heart," she told the magazine in her first statement after requesting a dismissal of her marriage of over a decade with Allman.
"As we turn the page to this next chapter, we kindly ask for privacy and truly appreciate your understanding," King added, asking for some space for the pair going through a difficult phase.
Her statement came on Tuesday, April 8, the same day several news outlets confirmed that she filed for the annulment of her 2013 nutpials, citing irreconcilable differences. Meanwhile, the separation date is listed as March 31.
Notably, this is not the first time the couple has faced such legal matters. In 2021 Cher’s second-born initiated a divorce, however, in January 2024, he requested to slide the case.
In February 2024, the judge granted the request, dismissing the divorce case "without prejudice."
