'One Direction' singer causes trouble for media personality
Dan Walker recalls receiving 'death threats' after an interview
One Direction has a fan following that no other band in the world has ever had.
Hence, any kind of mess up with its members can trigger the sea of fans easily.
Media personality, Dan Walker has opened that he has suffered an intense blowback from the 1D admirers once after he interviewed one of the singers of the pop group.
Walker revealed that he asked a question with Louis Tomlinson in a 2020 interview, which wasn’t quite well-received by the audience.
The Two of Us singer appeared on BBC's Breakfast with Dan to promote his solo album, 'Walls'.
During the show, Dan asked Louis how he felt after the death of his mum and sister.
According to the British journalist, Tomlinson took it badly and so did his die-hard fans.
While speaking at the Gold Minds podcast, Walker shared, “I did an interview with Louis Tomlinson once and I asked him what was a perfectly legitimate question about the death of his mum, and we’d already said to his people that we would ask that, and he took it badly, and wasn’t happy with it.”
The media personality recalled receiving 'death threats' after the interview.
He added, “You know what it’s like with One Direction, there were thousands and thousands of messages coming every 10 minutes. I think five people threatened to kill me that day.”
Globally acclaimed English-Irish pop boy group including Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis and Niall Horan, was formed in 2010.
The band remained active until 2016 and released five albums during the time.
