Kerry Washington, who's married to producer Nnamdi Asomugha, has opened up about raising her children with a powerful belief that they can truly “do anything.”
While conversing with HELLO, regarding her upcoming movie, The Six Triple Eight, Kerry shared that she wants her kids to see themselves as strong and “trailblazing” individuals.
“I’m excited to share it with [my daughters] and also with my son, I believe that this is a real family film – it’s exciting and informative and highlights the value of bringing stories like this into the mainstream.”
The Scandal star went on adding that the historical movie portrays the stories of ground-breaking women.
“It’s important for us to see ourselves and each other in film, and to see the power of black women, I want my son and daughters to know they can do anything. That is why we must keep on telling these stories.”
On the work front, Kerry Washington has gained immense recognition for her diverse storytelling powers, making a respectable space in the industry.
