Aamir Khan's stardom affect his relationship with Kiran Rao?

Filmmaker Kiran Rao has recently opened about her relationship with Aamir Khan.

Rao recalled the past days when she started dating Khan and shed light on the challenges, she faced on dating a superstar.

Their relationship started on the sets of Swades. According to the Lapata Ladies director, Aamir is not a filmy person and that was something common between the two, therefore there was a lot to chat among the Rao and Khan.

“The fact that he is a star, I had worked on Lagaan and seen how he works, he is not at all starry on a set, he will hold a cutter or a reflector if need be. He is very much one of the crew members", she added in a chat with Filmfare.

The 51-year-old claimed that the 3 idiots actor knew her personality and he did not at all expect her to take his baggage of stardom.

“And that made me not think of it so much because I knew him. I knew what he was like. So all that baggage of stardom… I didn’t have to take it.”

Kiran continued: “He knew that I was this kind of person so it was up to him to figure like… I guess he didn’t expect me to fit into any mould either. So, there were no kinds of troubles."

Despite having a good chemistry, the duo parted ways after 16 years of marriage. They amicably decided to split up. And even though, they are divorced, the two still share a close bond.
