'Bhoothnath 3' to star Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan again?

Horror-comedy film, Bhoothnath might return with another sequel possibly starring; Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Reportedly, the makers are in talks with the two superstars of India for the third installment as they aim to make it a grand film.

A report was submitted to Pinkvilla after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 success which revealed producer, Bhushan Kumar’s plan about making a new entry of the Bachchan starrer film.

The report suggested: "Bhoothnath 3 is in the development stage at the moment, and the producers are toying with the idea of bringing Bhoothnath back to the spectacle.”

Supposedly: “If everything goes as planned, Bhoothnath 3 will go on floor in 2025, for a 2026 release. The script work has begun, and the makers are happy with the germ that they have for Bhoothnath 3.”

The second installment of Bhoothnath included Khan’s cameo, but the makers are aiming to bring him in a game-changing role for the third movie.

"While part one and two had a cameo of Shah Rukh Khan, the makers are aiming at bigger goals for the third installment, though everything will boil down to the script eventually.”

“It’s too early in the day to discuss casting, as the makers are presently focusing on getting the script right. A director will be associated once the script is locked”, report revealed.

The first film was released in 2008, directed by Vivek Sharma. Meanwhile, the second installment came out in 2014 helmed by Nitesh Tiwari.
