Kareena Kapoor's upcoming venture aims to 'shake up' Indian film industry

Kareena Kapoor gears up for significant milestone as she signs one of the biggest feature films of Bollywood.

Following her standout performance in the 2024 hit Crew, alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon, the actress is reportedly eyeing a groundbreaking role that would change the landscape of Indian cinema.

A source close to the actress opened up to Pinkvilla about the new project, revealing that Kareena instantly approved of the script and signed up for it.

The insider told the outlet, “It’s a role that she has not done till date and the director in question is among the most celebrated and bankable of Indian Cinema at this point of time. 

"She has given a nod to the film and is excited to embark on a new journey in the 25th year of her acting career.”

In an attempt to spark curiosity among her fans, the source further added, “Usually, she takes her time to sign on for a feature film, but for this one, it was an instant yes post the narration. 

"She was blown away with the world created by the director, and is now looking forward to be on the set to explore newer dynamics of the character.”

In addition, the film will start rolling in January 2025 and will hit the big screen later in 2026.
