Jelly Roll is riding a high after taking the stage with Eminem for the first time.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the CMA fest over the weekend, the country star, 34, admitted he's still pinching himself over getting to not only meet the Rap God, 51, but also perform with him.
“When I think about coolest moments of my career, right now at the top, there has to be this thing that I got to go sing with Eminem in Detroit,” he said, recalling how he got to lend his vocals for Eminem’s 2002 hit, Sing For The Moment, at the Live From Detroit: The concert at Michigan Central on Thursday June 6.
He added, “I mean, just what an incredible night I got to go do it in Detroit. It was unreal.”
Born Jason Bradley DeFord, Jelly Roll further admitted that he was “giddy – like a child” the entire time he was on stage with Eminem.
Jelly Roll further recalled how when Eminem’s manager reached out to him, “I thought it was a joke until I met Eminem himself.”
He did eventually meet the Houdini rapper – a moment captured by Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, who also shared the clip to her Instagram.
“When the goat meets THE GOAT,” she lovingly captioned the post.
