Ava Phillipe 'picked apart' for her weight in 'toxic' bodyshaming row
Reese Witherspoon's daughter called out trolls for commenting on her appearance
Ava Phillipe tuned into social media with a serious reminder about the drastic consequences of body shaming.
Taking to her Instagram Stories earlier this week, the daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe shared a selfie of her with her dog Benji, looking away from the camera.
"Bodyshaming is toxic behavior," she wrote over the photo. "(Asked Benji and he agrees)."
"So maybe just... don't do that??" the 24-year-old influencer added.
Phillipe previously shared a video on TikTok detailing bodyshaming incident online, noting she had hit a major milestone in a woman’s life.
"I saw two different strangers commenting on my body,” she wrote over the clip of her observing herself before a mirror.
"The first said I should get on [Ozempic] because I'm too fat..." she explained, as she began applying lipstick in the mirror. "The second accused me of starving myself because I'm too thin..."
"My weight did not change in the time period between their comments," she added, noting that "it wouldn't be any of their business if it did!"
Ava went on to walk away from the frame while the video continued against the background tune of I’m Just a Girl by No Doubt.
"No one deserves to be picked apart for what they look like. You don't always know what someone's gone through or what they struggle with," the text at the end of the clip read.
