Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar commemorated the 5-year anniversary of Kalank, co-starring Alia Bhatt, released on April 17, 2019.
On Wednesday, the 51-year-old filmmaker took to his Instagram story to share his reflections on the film, emphasizing that certain narratives endure beyond mere outcomes.
While sharing a clip from the film, the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham director penned, "Kalank nahi ishq hai kajal piya.........5 years to a film that will always be special to me in so many ways!! Proud of the blood, sweat and tears that went into the telling of the story by Abhishek."
"Some films are beyond results they live on with visuals, soul and music! Kalank will always be that film to us at Dharma! #5yearstoKalank."
Moreover, Varun also shared a clip of the film on his Instagram story.
Previously, during an interview with DNA, Karan talked about Karan Johar opened up about his thoughts after the disappointment of Kalank.
He said, "There was not a single point after Kalank when I had a breakdown, meltdown or low moment."
"I was like, we have to take this positively and have to emerge on top from this. I have a strong and talented team and lots of internal love," Karan added.
