Adhyayan Suman shares how he approached for role of nawab in 'Heeramandi'
Heeramandi (The Diamond Bazaar) is all set to stream on Netflix from May, 2024
Adhyayan Suman revealed that he was first rejected for the role of Nawab in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's highly anticipated series Heeramandi (The Diamond Bazaar).
As per the official posters released on April 6, the male cast of the series includes Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, Taha Shah and Adhyayan.
Adhyayan is all set to captivate the audience as Zorawar Ali Khan.
Speaking of the back story, the actor told News18 Showsha that he got the call for the audition during his vacation to the mountains.
He shared, "I got the call when I was travelling there. At one o’clock in the afternoon, I was told that Mr Bhansali would be seeing my audition at three. Somehow, I managed to stop the car in the middle of the mountains and make an audition clip sitting in the car."
Adhyayan shared he was rejected for the role which left him extremely disappointed.
However, he said, "My father always tells me that if something is meant to be, it will be and nobody can snatch anything away that’s destined to happen."
Adhyayan added, "The shoot of Heeramandi started with the other characters. Two days before they were supposed to start shooting with the actor who was supposed to play Zorawar, he was suddenly asked to leave and I was brought in."
It is pertinent to mention that Heeramandi (The Diamond Bazaar) is a period drama based on the life of courtesans in Lahore.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the female cast of the series includes Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
The series is all set to stream on Netflix from May 2024.
