Deepika Padukone likely to skip 2024 Met Gala: Here's why

Deepika Padukone will not be able to attend this year's Met Gala, claimed the industry insider.

As reported by Pinkvilla, the Bollywood diva, who previously marked her presence several times at the international fashion event, would like to skip this year's Ball due to her work commitments.

The source shared, "Deepika Padukone has been a regular on the Met Gala Red Carpet. It is only natural for fans to anticipate her appearance at this year’s Met Gala, especially considering she is one of India’s biggest global brand ambassadors." 

"However, Deepika is in the midst of filming for Singham 3 which is slated to release later this year along with Kalki 2898 AD which is slated to release in May, both of which coincide with this year’s Met Gala," the tipster added. 

An insider revealed, "She will therefore not be attending this year's event," scheduled to take place on May 6, 2024, in New York City.

For the unversed, the mom-to-be is gearing up for the release of her upcoming sci-fic film Kalki 2898 AD, which is set to release on May 9. 

Moreover, the globally known Indian actress is presently busy filming her next film Singham Again.
