Renowned ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas passed away at the age of 72 in Mumbai after being unwell for some time on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Udhas' daughter, Nayaab Udhas, shared an Instagram post, in which it was announced that his funeral will be held in Mumbai on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
The post reads, "In loving memory of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas. With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of his demise on the 26 of February 2024 due to a prolonged illness."
"The funeral will take place on Tuesday, February 27, from 3 to 5 pm. Venue: Hindu Crematorium. Worli (Mumbai) Landmark Opp. Four Seasons: Dr E Muses Rd. Worli. The Udhas Family."
As reported by PTI, a family source of Udhas revealed that the seasoned singer passed away at Breach Candy Hospital around 11 am.
The shocking demise news of Udhas, who was best known for his work this Chitthi Aayee Hai, was initially shared by his daughter in an Instagram post.
The post reads, "With a very heavy heart, we are saddened to inform you of the sad demise of Padmashri Pankaj Udhas on 26th February 2024 due to a prolonged illness."
