Miley Cyrus brushes off reconciliation attempts from dad Billy Ray

Miley Cyrus is not willing to bury the hatchet with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus following his divorce from the singer’s mother Tish.

The 31-year-old reignited their long-standing feud when she notably decided against mentioning her estranged father during her speech after winning her first Grammy earlier this month.

Speaking to Us Weekly, a source revealed that the country singer, 62, has “tried reaching out” to his daughter “many times,” however, was met with repulsion.

Billy Ray and Miley’s mother 30-year marriage was marred by quite a few ups and downs over the years, with Tish ultimately filing for divorce in 2022.

The duo shares five children; Trace, Brandi, Miley, Braison and Noah Cyrus.

The Christmas In Paradise actor moved on with rapper Firerose, who is 27 years his junior, while Tish married Prison Break star Dominic Purcell.

“The family dynamics haven’t been the same since the divorce, and now that Tish and Billy Ray are with other people, there’s even more division among them all,” the insider explained, alluding to growing diffferences between the five siblings.

“Miley hasn’t gotten over the disrespect she feels Billy Ray showed Tish and the family,” they added.
