Good news are in order for those concerned about their weight as researchers discovered a weight loss technique as effective as Ozempic drug.

Celebrities have long advocated for the diabetic drug as a detour to quick weight loss; however, it has recently been revealed that dancing could prove just as effective.

Obesity is condition of a person being unhealthily overweight. It is particularly dangerous as it results in the increased risk of many other health conditions, including that of heart, brain, and other vital organs.

According to a recent research published in the journal Plos One, scientists conducted the study among 646 people (114 men and 532 woman), aged between 21 and 71, who were overweight or obese.

The review indicated that the 321 people, who attended dance classes such as step aerobics, Zumba, or other types of traditional dances regularly at least three times a week for four weeks, saw a “meaningful improvement” in their waist circumference and body fat.

Improved body composition, including the percentages of fat, bone and muscle, and physique was also observed in people below the age of 45.

Upon reviewing the overall dropout, researchers deduced that dancing could be “effectively advocated as a viable fat loss programme” as it releases happy hormone aka serotonin, making it more enjoyable than other conventional forms of exercise.

In the paper, the researchers wrote: “Conventional exercise (such as running, cycling, and swimming) is excessively monotonous, posing challenges for adherence.

“Dance, as a form of exercise engaging multiple joints, not only proves to be efficacious in fat reduction but also boasts amusement value, rendering it more conducive for people to exercise habit formation.”

They added: “The results indicated that when compared to the normal lifestyle, dance exhibits a significant effect on the improvement of body composition among people with overweight and obesity.

“From the meta-analysis, dance demonstrated the capacity to effectively reduce body mass, body mass index, waist circumference, body fat percentage and body fat in kilos, which was in agreement with previous researches.”
