Khushi Kapoor paid a heartfelt tribute to her late mother-actress Sridevi at the premiere of 'The Archies'
Khushi Kapoor recently revealed that she wore her late mother Sridevi's iconic gown to the premiere of her debut film The Archies in order to seek blessings from her.
In conversation with Hindustan Times, the new face of Bollywood shared that she wanted to wear something which belonged to her late mother for "extra support" on her big day.
She said, "When it came down to the premiere, I didn’t want to make any kind of fashion statement, it was an extremely big day for me."
Khushi shared that it was her idea to pick some special pieces from her mother's wardrobe. "I was nervous. I wanted to wear something of hers, whether it’s a piece of jewellery or dress."
The actress continued, "I felt I needed some extra support that day. It is a big deal, I wanted her to be there with me in some way. So I went through some of the old clothes we have here and picked it out."
For the unversed, Khushi wore a stunning strapless body-hugging shimmery outfit, which was previously styled by veteran Indian actress at the IIFA Awards 2013.
The 23-year-old actress completed her look with an elegant diamond necklace and earrings, which also belonged to Sridevi.
Taking to Instagram, Khushi shared her beautiful photos alongside an emotional caption.
She wrote, "The most special night with the most special pieces of you."
