Lionel Messi angry with Argentina teammate over comments about his wife Antonela Roccuzzo
Lionel Messi's seven goals helped Argentina won trophy for first time since 1986
Lionel Messi was reportedly enraged after one of his Argentina colleagues made a remark about his wife Antonela Roccuzzo during the World Cup.
Messi has put an end to his World Cup wait after suffering a string of setbacks on the international front, helping Argentina reach the final in Qatar.
Argentina won the trophy for the first time since 1986 thanks to seven goals by Messi, including two in the championship match against France.
Although the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner claims it was the highlight of his illustrious career, there was an unpleasant incident that occurred during the competition.
According to a panelist on Tartu TV's "A La Tarde," Alejandro "Papu" Gomez made a comment about Messi's wife Antonela Roccuzzo during Argentina's celebration following a game, and it is understandable that this made him unhappy.
"This man is a daring man," the panelist said, as per Marca.
"Locker room, I don't know exactly in which match, if it was in the match against the Netherlands."
"Everyone is happy because they passed, everyone in the locker room starts to sing. "What does Alejandro El Papu say? 'Hand over Antonela!'" the panelist said. "Imagine Messi's laser eyes ... Immediate red card!"
