Alaska residents are still getting their 2022 Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD), in the form of a $3,284 cheque after the deadline expired on March 31, officials said on Thursday.

You must have resided in Alaska for the whole calendar year prior to the date you apply for a payout in order to be qualified for a PFD.

Those who were categorised as "eligible-not-paid" on September 6 had their payments delivered yesterday, September 14, even though the majority had already received them.

A percentage of the state's oil and gas revenues go towards the yearly $3,284 cheque.

Of that $3,284, $662 is regarded as an energy relief cheque and is not taxed; the balance is seen as taxable income, The Sun reported.

High-yield savings are a good way to generate passive income

Savings accounts will increase interest payments on your savings account as the Federal Reserve keeps raising interest rates to fight inflation.

Unfortunately, many savings accounts still offer interest rates on deposits of less than 1%.

But an increasing number of internet savings accounts are beginning to pay substantially more than that.

You may now open online accounts from Capital One, Marcus by Goldman Sachs, and Barclays that pay 3.3 percent interest or higher.
