Hayden Panettiere's mother makes new claims about ex-boyfriend

Hayden Panettiere's mother, Lesley Vogel, is making new claims about the actress's former partner, Brian Hickerson, alleging that he pawned some of her daughter's belongings before her death.

Vogel, who had a difficult and at times distant relationship with Panettiere, has shared in a recent interview that she visited her daughter last year while she was struggling physically.

She said she was surprised to learn that Hickerson had pawned some of Panettiere's possessions, including a vintage guitar, and that Panettiere herself was reportedly upset upon discovering some of her belongings were in his storage unit.

Hickerson's attorney has declined to comment further on the claims, circling back to a previous statement that Panettiere's death remains under investigation and that authorities have confirmed no signs of foul play.

Panettiere passed away last year at the age of 36 in South Carolina, in what appeared to be an accidental overdose. Hickerson's brother, who was present at the time, has said that Hickerson attempted to help revive her using Narcan and performed CPR before emergency responders arrived.

Panettiere and Hickerson had a relationship marked by past instances of domestic violence, which Panettiere even wrote about publicly at some point in her life. A former neighbour has also said she witnessed troubling incidents involving the couple in the past.
