In 2020, Prince Harry stepped away from royal duties. This was followed by several controversies. But as he is settled in the U.S. with his family, a shocking claim was made.
Rob Shuter, a journalist, was behind it. In his latest story for his Naughty But Nice Substack, he quotes a source claiming the 41-year-old no longer cares about the Duke of Sussex title.
“Harry doesn’t care about the trappings anymore. He’s done with it,” the insider alleges, adding, “He looked genuinely happy, like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders."
This claim comes in light of a report by the National Examiner that there are speculations that Prince William, when he becomes the King, might take away the ‘rebel royals’ titles.
However, Rob’s source presents a different take, saying, “taking the titles away would make William look petty.”
But the insider’s claim comes after the Duke of Sussex introduced himself as Harry Wales, a name he used during his time in the British Army, at a polo match in Aspen, Colorado.
In contrast, the source notes “Meghan thrives on the royal recognition — it’s everything to her."
She was reportedly called by her title - Duchess of Sussex - when she was profiled for the Harper's Bazaar cover of December.
“Meghan’s still chasing the shine that’s long gone. But as for Harry, the friend added, “He’s finally free," the insider concludes.
