Liam Hemsworth has been receiving a massive backlash ever since he has taken over the role of Geralt in the new season of The Witcher.
When the first look of season 4 was teased by the makers, it immediately garnered criticism and left internet flooding with a comparison between Hemsworth and Henry Cavill, who had been playing the titular role since season 1.
Now that the new season has been released on Netflix, it is still receiving the same feedback from the viewers, who still are unable to absorb the The Hunger Games star in the role of Geralt.
In a recent interview, Liam was asked about what did he do to make it his own character and if he get any advice from Henry.
He clearly told Entertainment Tonight that he “I didn’t want to ever imitate anything that Henry did.”
While discussing his efforts that he put in to play the character, the 35-year-old said, “I had all these ideas that I was coming in with and you know I wanted to have this lighter side and the dry humour part which there’s moment of it throughout the season.”
Hemsworth emphasized when the Man of Steel actor portrayed Geralt; he was far angrier and frustrated
“But particularly where he’s at in this part of the story; he’s a little broken and he’s trying to find himself and it’s through other people in season 5.”
Liam claimed that “there was an enormous responsibility that I was taking on and doing my best to play justice to this world and to this character.”
