Glen Powell has shared an important update about the reboot of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Ever since, the new film has been announced, there has been rumours about Powell playing the lead role in the re-imaging of the 1974 horror classic.
The Top Gun: Maverick star has finally set rumours straight by sharing about his involvement in the project.
The 37-year-old opened that he will be a part of the reboot version of Chainsaw Massacre not as an actor but rather as a "producer".
He clarified the speculation by saying, “Well, I’m just producing it with Barnstorm. I’m not starring in it.”
Glen may not be featuring in the film, yet he has ensured fans that the project is in safe hands with J.T. Mollner working on it as director and Dan Cohen as producer.
Without giving any spoilers, he assured fans that him together with the makers is going to do "justice" with it.
The Anyone but You star told Collider, “I grew up on Texas Chainsaw. I'm not going to give away any spoilers about what we're sort of building and what we're planning, but the team around it is extraordinary, and we're going to do it justice. I promise.”
Meanwhile, Powell will be next seen in The Running Man, slated to release worldwide on November 7.
