ISLAMABAD: Pakistan decided not to give consular access to Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav.
Sources said that due to Yadav’s confession of involvement in terrorist civilities in Pakistan, the government for the time being rejected the request.
Pakistan also decided that after the investigation, further leads from Yadav would also be shared with the international community and the United Nations. The relevant agencies are preparing detailed documentary proof of Yadav’s confessions.
Yadav was arrested on March 24, 2016 from Balochistan where he entered through Iran. The suspect was said to be an officer of the Indian Navy working for a covert agency to destabilise Pakistan.
The operative had contacts with banned organisations and was working on plans to break Karachi and Balochistan away from Pakistan and to sabotage the 46 billion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
