The Only Murders in the Building actress started crying after her movie, Emilia Pérez garnered a lot of love from the audience on May 18, via Deadline.
Selena reportedly broke down in tears as the audience stood up to cheer in the Palais after the movie ended, per Variety.

Earlier, the singer and actress made a ravishing entrance at the festival as she joined the cast and director of the movie on the red carpet.
Selena looked stunning in a black velvet gown with white bardot sleeves as well as a diamond necklace.
In January, the actress appeared on Smartless podcast and reflected on her role in Emilia Pérez.
“There’s this scene where I’m being left – I’m not giving anything away – and I remember I channelled the moment when I had to go to rehab for the first time and leaving,” explained the songstress.
Selena stated, “I just felt like it was just getting that out when I remembered that first moment and being terrified so it felt really cathartic.”
While talking about her acting career, the singer mentioned, “I don’t think I’ve been able to even touch the surface of what I know I’m capable of doing.”
“I’m very selective, or else I’d been in all of the movies that I get offered. I just fight for my roles and I’m always auditioning so I like to earn it,” she added.
