Manchester City win Premier League title, crushing West Ham United
Cristiano Ronaldo’s former team Manchester United surpassed by City as fourth time winner
Manchester City have triumphed over West Ham United Sunday, securing the title of Premier League consecutively for the fourth time, at the Etihad Stadium.
Phil Foden netted two times to take his team a 3-1 win over a Stratford-based club.
Rodri also added his share in the 59th minute, enabling the City to make history in the English football league under Pep Guardiola.
In the past seven seasons, the Catalan football manager developed a skill to win six Premier League titles.
The player of the match Foden told Sky Sports in a post-game talk: "Not just me, all the lads have played in important games, we've played this scenario over. We were confident. It's paid off.
"It was the perfect start. The [nickname] sniper is going to stay forever now. This feeling will never get old. I want this winning feeling always."
City are at the place where it is the only English club to win four times in a row, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo’s former team Manchester United.
It was West Ham's last game under manager David Moyes.
Rodri netted his seventh Premier League goal of this season just before the hour mark to secure the win.
NBC Sports reported that City finished with 91 points, two more than Arsenal and nine more than the next-closest Liverpool.
