When it comes to snacks, we all like to try different items time and again. So, this week You! has collaborated with home-based chef and owner of ‘Food Hive’ Saba Farooq who shares her special recipe of ‘Chicken crostinis’. Try out this simple yet yummy snack and enjoy it at teatime. You can also serve it as an appetizer. Happy munching!

INGREDIENTSChicken crostinis

Boneless chicken      1/2 kg

Salt    1/2  tsp

Chilli powder   1/2  tsp

Garam masala 1/2  tsp

French loaf    as required

Garlic butter   as required

Oil      2 tbsps

Cheddar cheese        as required

METHOD

  • Marinate the chicken cubes with chilli powder, salt and pinch of garam masala. Mix well and set aside for half an hour.
  •           In a pan heat some oil. Add the marinated chicken cubes and cook till it is tender.
  •           Take French loaf and cut into pieces.
  •           Apply the garlic butter (easily available in the markets) on the loaf pieces.
  •           Put some cooked chicken pieces on the loaf slices and sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over it.
  •           Bake the slices in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Serve hot with ketchup!
