Students get prizes, shields
TIMERGARA: Prizes and shields were distributed among students at a private school here on Sunday.
The parents’ day function was organised at Intellectual School Hajiabad campus.
At the ceremony, students sang national songs, presented tableaus, speeches and also there was a cultural show reflecting cultures of all four provinces.
District councillor Muhammad Daud Said Khan, Awami National Party former district information secretary Malik Shafiullah Yousafzai and a number of students and parents were present on the occasion.
The school principal Irfanullah Khan presented the institute’s annual report.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmad Khan said education played a vital role in development of a country.
The school’s resident director Malik Sultan Yousaf said it was the need of the hour to equip the younger generation with the knowledge of science and modern technology.
He said the school management was paying due attention to personality development and character building of students by engaging them in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
