KARACHI: Pakistan all-rounder Anwar Ali has been dropped from the one-day international (ODI) squad after getting injured during the recently concluded domestic Twenty20 tournament; he is likely to be replaced with Aamer Yamin.

Ali was expected to leave for Harare via Dubai on Sunday to join the squad, which is already in Zimbabwe. He was given an extra couple of days to recover from his injury.

However, upon failing to do so he is now likely to be replaced with Aamer Yamin, a right-hand batsman and right-arm medium pacer from Multan.

Amin is being considered for the national ODI squad after performing brilliantly in the domestic circuit. He is already in Zimbabwe with the T20 squad.

Pakistan will play two Twenty20s on Sunday, September 27 and Tuesday, September 29 followed by three ODIs on October 1, 3 and 5 against the hosts.
