Sarfraz happy for Sarfraz Ahmed

ISLAMABAD: Former Test Cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz while praising Sarfraz Ahmed for being made the vice captain said the wicket keeper suits best at this position.

Talking to APP Sarfraz said at this crucial time Azhar Ali is the right and best choice to lead the team.

Sarfraz said it is good the Cricket board has given wicketkeeper batsman Sarfraz the responsibility of vice captain.

Sarfraz will be groomed as VC and then he can replace the captian in future when the time comes he said adding the series against Bangladesh will be their first assignment.

Speaking about the captain powers Sarfraz said after the 15 member squad is announced by the selection committee the captain should be given the power of whom he wants to select in the Playing XI or not.
This way the captain can improve the team he said.

Sarfraz also advised the PCB to allot new coaches for the team as we have seen the performance of the current ones in the World Cup.

If we want to improve our team s future we need to take such steps he said. (APP)
