Girls claim top positions in QAU BA, BSc exams

Islamabad: The Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has announced results of BA, BSc (Part I & II) Annual Examinations 2015.
According to the university, 3,020 students appeared in BA, BSc (Part-I) Annual Examination 2015 and 1,392 of them were successful. The results put the overall pass percentage for BA, BSc (Part-I) at 46.09. Whereas 3,412 students appeared in BA, BSc (Part-II) Annual Examination 2015 and 1,390 of them were successful with pass percentage of 40.74.
The first three positions in BA, BSc (Part-II) Annual Examination 2015 were all grabbed by girls. In BA Part-II, Sana Mushtaq of Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG), F-6/2, secured the top position with 592 marks (74 %), while Sana Ramzan of IMCG F-7/4 and Shabana of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 secured the second and third positions with 584 (73%) and 578 (72.2%) marks respectively.
In BSc (Part-II) Annual Examination 2015, Sumbul Saeed of ICG (PG) F-6/2 bagged the first position with 668 marks (83.5 %), while Shamsa Jabeen of IMCG F-6/2 and Hafsa Abid of IMCG (PG) F-7/2 secured the second and third positions with 646 (80.75%) and 639 (79.88) marks respectively.
Dr. Javed Ashraf, vice-chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University, Dr. Ikram A. Malik, chairman of the FBISE, and Sardar Baber, controller examinations at the QAU, announced the results.
