Army determined to uphold Pak flag, world peace: COAS
Visits Ivory Coast; pays rich tributes to Pak troops stationed there

IVORY COAST: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said the Pakistan Army is determined to uphold the flag of Pakistan and world peace.
He visited Ivory Coast and spent a day with the Pak Army contingent deployed there under the United Nations flag. The COAS paid rich tributes to Pak troops for their professionalism, commitment to bring stability and for promoting peace for a secure world under the UN.
He said Pakistan was committed to meeting the emerging challenges of peacekeeping operations and continued to uphold the UN and Pak flags fluttering high.
General Raheel Sharif said Pakistan was proud of its historic role as a major troops contributor and takes it as an obligation to participate for international peace and security.
He said being one of leading troops contributors, Pakistan has currently deployed its troops in six UN missions, despite the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb.The Ivory Coast president paid rich tributes to the excellent performance of Pakistani troops.
