KARACHI: Six suspected terrorists were killed by paramilitary soldiers in raids conducted in Mominabad and Orangi Town on Tuesday, while an alleged Baloch Liberation Army militant was gunned down in Old Golimar.
Addressing a media briefing at the Rangers headquarters in North Nazimabad, Brig Mohammad Khurram said the paramilitary force, with the assistance of a federal-based intelligence agency, conducted a raid at a hideout of terrorists near the Pareshan Chowk in Mominabad.
He told reporters that the interior ministry and Sindh government had recently issued advisories regarding imminent terror attacks in the city, adding that the two overnight raids came after reports were received regarding an attack at a sensitive location near the airport.
