A 15-year-old boy was kidnapped in Rahimyar Khan a few months ago. His abductors abused him – physically and mentally. When he tried to lodge a complaint, instead of registering a case the police taunted him. The frustrated and distraught boy committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. This happened in 2015 and other than mere suspension of policemen and taking notice by the Punjab CM, nothing has been done so far.
As long as injustice remains, neither NAP nor the killing of thousands of terrorists will yield the desired results and desperate people will continue to join the terrorists. It is not necessarily that they are driven by an ideology. Incidents like child abuse in Kasur, murder of Zain in Lahore, etc, are providing terrorists perfect space to recruit victims to their cause.
